Vodafone teams with Sky for live football

Sports addicts on Vodafone’s network will be getting a regular fix this coming weekend as the firm’s Live service begins delivering live football and cricket matches straight to mobiles.

The service is in partnership with Sky Sports and kicks off with Saturday’s semi-finals playoffs in the English Football League. The move represents a first in the UK and is to be part of Sky’s mobile TV service.

Around 15 full live football matches are scheduled to appear in the first month of the launch comprising around 100 hours of coverage. Three live test matches are also scheduled and will continue throughout the summer until the final Test against Pakistan in September.

The service is available free for 3G users who subscribe to Sky Mobile TV’s news, sports and factual pack for ВЈ5 per month (each pack).
