Three 3G licences for sale in Slovenia
On Thursday, the telecoms regulator for Slovenia, The Agency for Post and Electronic Communications (APEK) published a tender for another three 3G licences.
According to local reports, the body has put a reserve price of $7.9m on each.
Slovenia’s two leading telecoms firms, Simobil and the younger Tus mobil are expected to bid for the licenses. It is understood however that the regulator may be looking for a foreign investor to help boost competitiveness in the country.
Mobitel won its 3G licence in 2001.
The tender will close on 1 September 2006.
