Sony’s 700i, or is it the 800i?

Sony Ericsson has launched its new W700i Walkman phone but apart from some differences in colour, the latest mobile is identical to its predecessor, the W800i.

One other distinguishing feature is that the 700i comes with a 256MB memory card, as opposed to the 512MB card that came with the older W800i.

Both phones use the same 2 Megapixel camera have the same 176×220 pixel display, Memory Stick Pro Duo slots, Walkman software, Bluetooth, email client, web browser etc.

In fact the only difference Telecoms.com has noted between the older 800i and the new 700i is that the 800 has more orange bits.

Given orange is part of Telecoms new livery, we’ll be sticking to the 800i thank you very much.
