Sony Ericsson M2M Quad-Band and Edge communication devices

M2M has launched Sony Ericsson’s new family of Quad Band GSM/GPRS Class 10 radio devices including a new EDGE module into the Australian market.
The GR64 GSM/GPRS module is a high performance upgrade for those applications already using Sony Ericsson’s current generation of GSM/GPRS GR47 type devices.

The GS64 is a new slim-line, small form Quad-band GPRS module for applications such as POS terminals, PDAs, laptops and other portable or battery powered devices where size is critical.

The EE54 is a Quad-Band/Edge/GPRS module designed for applications where remote management and higher speed data communication is critical to the business, for example for autonomous remote cameras to monitor security and surveillance of outdoor activity on roads or private property.

All the new modules are lead-free to meet the new international RoHS standards, adding a further incentive to develop with Sony Ericsson and M2M Connectivity.

The products are commercially available and M2M Connectivity has special Developer Kits now available for developers to assist with integration of the modules, together with trained support staff to assist developers to get applications to market quickly.
