Qualcomm and Nokia reach stalemate
Ongoing negotiations between Qualcomm and Nokia have, according to reports, reached stalemate with the wireless chipmaker saying it will not offer the handset manufacturer any discounts on royalties.
The pair are currently in negotiations to extend their licencing agreement which allows Nokia to use Qualcomm’s CDMA and W-CDMA processors in its mobiles.
Reports suggest Qualcomm executives have claimed their company has a lot less to gain than Nokia if the negotiations fail.
