Nokia 6131 Phone Approved by FCC

Remember the Nokia 6131 cell phone that Nokia had demonstrated at the 3GSM? Well, the FCC has paved its way to the USA.Hopefully, we should be seeing it soon with some of the operators. It’s a sleek-looking phone weighing in at 110 grams including the battery, and is a quad-band GSM phone. A 1-megapixel cam is provided; while that’s not something great, keep in mind tht this is a mid-range phone aimed at the masses. The display is especially good, offering 16 million colors.

Entertainment options range from Visual Radio, FM (stereo, even) and a digital music player supporting MP3/AAC playback. A rudimentary browser allows you to get on the net.

Priced at €275, the Nokia 6131 will be available in the next quarter sometime. Details from Nokia’s website. Check the extended entry for tech specs.
