Motorola’s Razr Returns To US Stores

After the initial concerns about the functionality issues encountered with several Razr phones and the stop sign put on its sales, Motorola’s device returns to stores in the US starting from Monday and, by the end of this week, should be again available in every specialised shop.

By Friday, a new shipment of Motorola Razrs had already reached Cingular’s distribution centers and then began reappearing on sale in some stores by Monday, according to Jennifer Bowcock, a spokeswoman for Cingular, one of the two largest US wireless carriers.

Although she couldn’t confirm all the locations where Rarz’s sales had already begun, she said the Razr was being sold again in the Washington and Baltimore area starting from Monday.

“Not every single store will have new Razrs in place today or tomorrow”, she said. The Razr’s reappearance will be a “rollout” through the week.

Motorola spokesman Alan Buddendeck said stores should be fully stocked with the Razr soon. “Within a matter of days, it will be widely and readily available.”

Motorola’s stock market shares got up to $20.90 on Monday, after having initially fallen as much as 40 cents last Friday.

However, the concern regarding Motorola’s Quality Control still remains in spite of the company’s reassurances that the number of affected phones was “very limited”.
