JAPAN TELECOM forms Mobile Business Division

Alignment with Vodafone K.K. Corporate Sales to strengthen mobile solutions and realize FMC

JAPAN TELECOM CO.,LTD. and Vodafone K.K. today announce that JAPAN TELECOM formed a new Mobile Business Division aligned with Vodafone K.K.’s Corporate Sales to jointly conduct business activities. The move stems from an organizational change made on 1 July 2006.

Previously JAPAN TELECOM focused mainly on ICT solutions for business customers. However, in order to maximize business synergies with Vodafone K.K., which recently became a member of the SOFTBANK Group, the main functions of Vodafone K.K.’s Corporate Sales division have been aligned with JAPAN TELECOM’s.

The alignment allows customers to benefit both from Vodafone K.K.’s mobile solutions know-how and JAPAN TELECOM’s expertise in corporate customer solutions. Both companies are also able to respond rapidly to comprehensive voice and data business needs for fixed-line and mobile communications.

Customers currently using Vodafone K.K.’s business services are able to use them as before.
