Germany: T-Mobile gives Xtra customers attractive bonuses

Big extras for topping up Xtra account: New T-Mobile prepaid customers who top up their Xtra credit within five days of activating their card are credited with a whole bunch of free SMS. Anyone topping up their Xtra credit with 50 euros as of July 1 shall receive 100 free SMS right away – meaning that quick-off-the-mark Xtra customers can save up to 19 euros on the standard price of 0.19 euros per SMS. And what’s more, all Xtra customers who top up with 30 or 50 euros in July 2006 will receive a bonus of 15 or 30 free minutes for domestic mobile calls within the T-Mobile network within Germany or to German landlines.

Starting now, all XtraPac and XtraCard buyers will receive the First Top-Up Bonus as new customers of T-Mobile. Topping up the Xtra account with 15 euros awards customers 15 free SMS, for 30 euros they get 50 free SMS, and a 50 euro top-up gives them 100 free SMS. Customers can send the bonus SMS within Germany to all German networks; free SMS which are not used expire after 30 days. The offer applies for the initial top-up of the Xtra account within five days of activating the new XtraCard and is valid until December 31, 2006.

And all Xtra customers who increase their prepaid account balance between July 1 and 31, 2006 are also laughing: T-Mobile will give them free minutes to enjoy on their cell phone. A 30 euro top-up earns 15 minutes, and T-Mobile gives double that for a 50 euro top-up. And it doesn’t matter whether customers increase their phone credit with an XtraCash scratch card, via Cash&Go or by directly topping up their credit via direct debit. The free minutes are available for domestic calls in the T-Mobile network and to landlines and shall be used down to the second before cutting into prepaid credit. Any remaining free minutes expire after 30 days.

Even T-Mobile’s contract customers will receive a bonus: From now on, they can top up their Miles & More account at T-Mobile and collect premium miles which they can turn into flights, for instance. This is all possible thanks to a strategic partnership agreed with Lufthansa and Miles & More at the start of the year.

T-Mobile rewards every euro on the cell phone invoice with at least one Miles & More premium mile. All T-Mobile customers with a T-Mobile business customer tariff, the Relax 200, 400, 500, 600 consumer tariffs, all Relax XL tariffs and T-Mobile corporate customers with other consumer tariffs are eligible to participate.

Here are a few examples from the program: Customers signing up to a T-Mobile fixed-term contract for 24 months on a business tariff or selected consumer tariff shall be rewarded with 5,000 Miles & More premium miles. As an alternative to a new phone when extending the contract, customers can choose a loyalty bonus of 12,000 Miles & More premium miles. And by setting up the e-mail push service, customers get 5,000 Miles & More premium miles.

What’s more, there’s a special welcome offer: When signing a new contract with a term of 24 months on selected tariffs, the customer is credited with an additional 15,000 Miles & More premium miles. The offer is valid until September 30, 2006. With just 15,000 Miles & More premium miles, for example, participants of the program can buy a flight.
