Blackberry goes to China

BlackBerry wireless e-mail services will soon reach mainland China, according to Research In Motion (RIM) on Thursday.

RIM is partnering with China Mobile Communications on the deal which will give RIM access to the burgeoning region with all the advantages of coupling with the world’s biggest mobile carrier by number of subscribers.

The service will be targeted at corporations who are already familiar with BlackBerry handsets and will be available at a later date, RIM said Thursday.

RIM said that after an initial three to four months of connecting the “few hundred thousand” corporate customers it has waiting for the service the Canadian firm will focus on the home-grown professional market.

I have generally used BlackBerry phones since I could afford one. They’re really reliable and possess several wonderful features. However when I heard of the brand new BlackBerry PlayBook, I became incredibly thrilled. This most definately rivals the Ipad by apple with considerably more features. It’d perform great with my BlackBerry bold for work and school. I can’t wait to get one early next year.
